Madonna 7 August 2012 Moscow

Digital Times

It seems Madonna is taking a little heat today after voicing her support for anti-Putin punk rock band "Pussy Riot" in her Moscow concert tour stop last night, prompting a radical group of Orthodox believers in Moscow to burn Madonna's portrait in effigy. The religious demonstrators said that. while they wish no ill will for Madonna as a person, the burning was a necessity to "drive the demons out."

In a stoic ritual-like walk, the Orthodox religious extremists gathered themselves beside the river running alongside Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow, the scene of Pussy Riot's controversial expression.
